A Gift Wrap DIY

Written by Anastasia Marie

Hello there! This is Anastasia here of Anastasia Marie. Thrilled to be guest blogging for TWIPS today. When it comes to gift giving during the holidays, wrapping up presents is one of my most favorite parts. Sometimes I think I put more effort into the gift wrap than into the actual gift itself! So with Christmas fast approaching, here’s a gift wrap idea for you folks who love to spend that extra time wrapping.

STEP ONE: Print out the FREE printable that you can download via this link: Christmas Glitter Flags. There are four variations: a green “merry christmas,” a red “happy holidays,” a blue “winter wishes,” and a purple “be merry.”

STEP TWO: Cut along the solid gray lines to form an elongated diamond shaped tag.

STEP THREE: Score along the dotted gray line.

STEP FOUR: Fold along your scored line. Take your foam brush and dip it into some tacky glue. Try not to over do the glue. It’s important that you have full coverage, but you don’t want your flag warping either. Spread the tacky glue evenly inside the folded flag on the right side. Then cover with glitter and shake off the excess. Choose contrasting colors for some extra fun.

STEP FIVE: Take your kraft box and wrap your ribbon around it twice. Tie a small knot on the bottom.

STEP SIX: Insert the glitter flap of your flag underneath the ribbon and secure it to the kraft box using your double-sided tape. Make sure you get the flag to lie flat by securing the very tip of the tag. If your flag opens up too much, give the crease a little more grease with your scoring blade.

And now you’re finished. I hope you didn’t forget to put your gift inside the box! Enjoy!
